A quiet place
to gather
what lasts.

A women-owned home goods boutique. We keep a small, considered shelf of pieces made to soften with use and stay with you for years.

Our Philosophy

We source slowly. Each piece earns its place by lasting, by meaning something, by feeling right in a room you actually live in.

Our shelves hold the work of makers we know by name. Linen woven to soften with washing. Stoneware thrown by hand. Objects with the patience to outlast a trend. Simplicity, longevity, and a sense of place. That is the whole of it.

The Shop

Two ways in, both unhurried.

Daily Rituals

The small things you reach for before the day starts. Stoneware, soaps milled in small batches, linen that gets better the more you wash it.

For the rooms you spend your life in. Throws, lighting, vessels, and the furniture worth keeping. Pieces chosen to settle a space, not fill it.

The Materials

Made to be touched.

Run your hand across the cloth and the difference shows up fast. It is in the weave, the throw of a glaze, the grain you can feel. Choose a material, then move across it to look closer.

Woven in Belgium

Softens with every wash and never wears out. The slub you feel is the flax, left in on purpose.

Up Close

What a photo leaves out.

Move your eye across the cloth. It is the same piece, up close, where the weave and the wear actually live.

Our Mission

Rooted in a working waterfront.

Portland, Maine is a community where the tides set the pace. Fishermen, dockworkers, artists, and makers coexist here in a balance of industry, creativity, and tradition, and the working waterfront is the Old Port's heartbeat. STELLAN was established to honor those traditions and the people who support this way of life.

We are a collective of artisans committed to sustainability, and not only the environmental kind. STELLAN is equally dedicated to social, economic, and cultural sustainability, and to a more conscious way of doing business.
